The U Drop Inn

Opened in 1936 at the intersection of U.S. Route 66 and U.S. Highway 83 in Shamrock, TX, the U Drop Inn, and later the Tower Cafe, served hungry Route 66 travelers well into the 1980's.

After falling into disrepair, this beautiful Art Deco inspired building was restored in the 1990's and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The U Drop Inn currently serves as an information center and chamber of commerce.
